Both teams were slathered in a Cinderella story. Stony Brook, leading the entire game, were a blink away from their first NCAA tournament bid, but the heartbreak of one player, caused the heartbreak of an entire team, and once again, missed free throws were the culprit.
I’m certain Stony Brook players are saddened by this loss, but if you’re going to give one away, it couldn’t have happened for a better cause.
